The African painted dog is one of Africa's most enigmatic and endangered animals, and also one of the three most efficient hunting animals. Neither wolves nor dogs, they are a genus of canid called 'Lycaon'. They are extremely social and live in packs of up to 40 animals.
I learned about the species a few years ago and since then I have been following and participating in initiatives to help in its conservation. This watercolor could not be different, so a percentage will be donated to them.
