This watercolor is part of the project "100 encounters in watercolor", in which I am based on photographs of my own encounters with animals, among other themes. Based on a photograph of Great Black Hawk in Itirapina, SP.
 
In the painting, a young Black Hawk - the young have lighter color, but will turn black. This one is specifically known as Chico in the Broa dam, where he usually stays and is admired by everyone!
