The African painted dog is one of the most enigmatic and endangered animals in Africa, and also one of the three most efficient hunting animals. Neither wolves nor dogs, they are a genus of canid called 'Lycaon'. 
They are extremely social and live in packs of up to 40 animals.
 
I found out about the species a few years ago and since then I have followed and participated in initiatives to help its conservation. This watercolor couldn't be different, so a percentage will be donated to them.
