This watercolor is part of the project "100 encounters in watercolor", in which I am based on photographs of my own encounters with animals, among other themes. In the painting, two toco toucans photographed in Itirapina, São Paulo.
 
The watercolor depicts a common scene of this highly social bird, which I am fortunate to experience and admire. I tried to work in few layers and keep the beauty of watercolor simplicity, letting some colors blend together, creating 'happy accidents'.
